Bethany Lutheran Church

Crystal Lake, Illinois

This organ’s inaugural recital was played by David Schrader, who also served as consultant to Bethany’s organ search committee, in 2003. His performance and our installation inspired the Bethany Arts Series, which has celebrated a robust range of traditional to eclectic organ and instrumental concerts for nearly two decades. You can read more about the series or find out about upcoming performances here.

Our design places the Schwellwerk directly behind the Hauptwerk at impost level, permitting richly voiced full-length basses in all open 8’ stops and a highly effective swellbox with large shutters.

The case is a traditional mortise-and-tenoned, frame-and-panel construction of solid white oak with natural oil finish.

Mechanical key action (suspended) and stop action, compass 56/30.

Dimensions: Main case, footprint 6ft w x 5ft d, upper case 11ft w; height 18ft. Pedal (behind) 10ft w x 3 1/2ft d.
