The Oratory / Holy Family Church

Toronto, Ontario

This three-manual Gabriel Kney organ was relocated by us from the residence of an Ontario patron of the arts, then visually and tonally reconceived for its new home.

The new Holy Family Church was built in accordance with the wishes of the Fathers of the Oratory as a space which permits traditional rites and music in an acoustically stunning setting. In line with that vision and to elevate this organ to the beauty of the space, we raised wind pressures, revoiced and rescaled all stops, converted partial-length reed stops to full-length, and designed a main façade case to echo and complement the original rückpositiv case.
